Transportation

Bus Transportation

Overview

Students make their way smoothly to and from Bishop Canevin in a variety of ways. Some commute by car, getting dropped off by parents or via carpool with upperclassmen from their neighborhoods. Others take public school buses to get to school. Bishop Canevin High School is proud to serve students from Allegheny, Washington, and Westmoreland Counties, serving students from 20+ different public school districts.

According to PA Act 372, a student is eligible for subsidized transportation if the boundary of the public school district of his/her permanent address is more than two, and no more than ten miles from Bishop Canevin. The school district in which he/she resides must also provide transportation to their own public schools. A subsidy may be in the form of either providing a school bus or via public transportation (PAT).
