House Jesuit Namesake: Mr. Karl Rahner

Karl Rahner went to school at the University of Freiburg and Jesuit University in Innsbruck. He was a close spiritual director and personal adviser to those that he taught. He also had a continual concern for those in need.

Outside of academics, Rahner was involved in Vatican II as a peritus. Pope John XXIII chose him to serve as an Expert Adviser. He also aided Pope Benedict XVI to prepare an alternate text between scripture and tradition.
