2019 Musical Announcement

Below are the hints that have been provided for the 2019 Bishop Canevin Spring Musical. Read the rules below for the Guess the Musical Game.
  1. This musical is a coming of age storyline.
  2. The musical won a Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical.
  3. Bishop Canevin has performed this musical before.
  4. An original concept for this musical was performed by Carnegie Mellon University's student theatre troupe.

Rules for the Guess the Musical Game:

Any Bishop Canevin student, staff member, or alumni can participate in the game. Each student or staff/alumni member can make on ly one guess based on the hints given. Guesses should be sent via email to the Music Director Mr. Light,, and the Spring Musical Director Mrs. Emily Lorence Ragan,, to be considered for the winning prize. Guesses posted on social media will not count as an official guess. You may submit your guess via email any time up to the deadline on Thursday, November 8th at 11:00 p.m. After that, no guesses will be accepted. The first student, staff/alumni to guess correctly will receive the winning prize and bragging rights for correctly guessing the 2019 Spring Musical.


A Sweet Treat and 2 Kickin' Seats tot he 2nd Night Performance of the musical. We will have one student winner and one staff/alumni winner. The student winner and staff/alumni winner of the musical will officially be announced on November 9th during the school day.

Where Can I Find Hints?

One hint per day will be posted on the school's social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) and the school's website over the course of the week. There will be a total of 4 hints given.

How to Submit a Guess:

Please email Mr. Alex Light,, and Mrs. Emily Lorence Ragan,, for your guess to be counted. Remember, you only get one guess so make it count! Break a leg one and all!

Musical Meeting

Our welcome back meeting with all interested students wanting to be involved in the musical will occur on Monday, November 12th! We are looking for students with all kinds of skill sets to be involved on stage this year. Anyone with strong gymnastic skills, athletic capabilities, unique dance skills, instrumental skills, and special/unique talents are all welcome! Come to the meeting to find our why these special skills will be essential to the musical this year! Singers/dancers/actors we look forward to seeing you there, too!
