Bishop Canevin A Jesuit-inspired High School

Students Raise Money For Hayden Hamilton

On August 31st, Laurel High School sophomore Hayden Hamilton suffered a spinal injury during their football game, in injury similar to Steeler Ryan Shazier. The Bishop Canevin community rallied behind Hayden and Laurel in their time of need. The school held a dress down day on Friday, September 7th, and all of the proceeds were donated to Hayden's GoFundMe for his recovery. The students and faculty raised over $1,500! The football team showed their support with Hayden's number, 26, on their helmets. The cheerleaders had his number on their faces. And the cheerleaders and Crusettes had green bows in support of their community. Laurel might have came away with the win, but we were all #26 Strong!
