Frank Farina Memorial Fund
Mr. Frank J. Farina was a beloved Director of Music at Canevin from 1964 - 1969. During his tenure, he created and directed Canevin's first Marching Band. Mr. Farina also held the position of Director of Musical Programs for the Diocese of Pittsburgh and established the elementary music program as a feeder to the high schools. Mr. Farina went to his eternal rest on August 12, 2012.
Dear Past Students, Family, and Friends of Frank Farina,
Frank touched so many people in so many ways throughout his life. He gave respect and received even more.
He took us on musical ventures and adventures. He expected our best every day as he gave us his best every day. He taught us not only how to perform and enjoy music, but also how to live and be a positive influence to countless others.
Many of us went on to become performers, teachers and band directors because of his inspiration. Many more of us passed on this passion to our children as well. He will be greatly missed.
We are setting up The Frank J. Farina Memorial Fund to help continue his legacy at Bishop Canevin High School.
Any gifts to this fund will go directly to Bishop Canevin, and specifically to the music program.
